ICONS OF SOUL—Friday September 5
The R&B Foundation and the African American Museum in Philadelphia will present the photography of Mark DelCostello featuring doo-wop and R&B stars. Many of the legendary artists captured in the photos will mingle with the guests during the exhibit’s opening reception.

BACK TO BANDSTAND—Sunday September 7
We’ll take guests back to the original studios of American Bandstand (now The Enterprise Center) for a nostalgia-filled concert and Q&A session. Early Bandstand artists will be showcased at this ticketed event sponsored by PNC Bank.

WATTSTAX TRIBUTE SCREENING —Monday September 8
African American history was made in 1972 when Richard Pryor, Isaac Hayes and other Stax artists filled a Los Angeles stadium for a concert commemorating the 7th anniversary of the Watts riots. The film of the concert, “Wattstax,” documents the performances and the reactions of the platform shoed, dashilki wearing fans. The screening and a panel discussion will be held att the Clef Club with Stax stars in attendance.
